New York comes to Radley Farm

Bring along a delicious picnic to enjoy in the beautiful gardens of Radley Farm, then go on to delight in an evening featuring the vibrant music of New York - under cover of our gorgeous canopied marquee.

Dvorak’s Symphony from the New World celebrates the wide open spaces of America with American Spirituals being one of the most popular of all time. We look forward to hearing Barber’s famous Adagio for Strings floating out over the fields, also to fabulous songs by George Gershwin, known so well for the excitement, colours and atmosphere he conjures up in his infectiously magical style, sung by the wonderful mezzo Katherine Sayles. We open with Copland’s Fanfare, a piece more American than perhaps any other!

Guests are invited to picnic in the grounds from 4pm

Gates close at 5.50pm, concert begins at 6pm
